District Celebrates Addition To Elementary School With Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony

Bond improvements at Gilbert Cuellar Sr. Elementary showcased during ceremony Tuesday, Feb. 18

DALLAS—The Dallas Independent School District will hold a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 6 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 18, at Gilbert Cuellar Sr. Elementary School to celebrate the addition made to the school under the 2008 Bond Program.

Dallas ISD School Board Trustee Nancy Bingham, District 4, will bring greetings. Other speakers include Dallas ISD Chief of School Leadership Sylvia Reyna, Dallas City Councilmember Rick Callahan and family representative Carmen Cuellar Summers. Principal Sheryl Wilson will be on hand to welcome everyone to the school.

Cuellar students will join in the celebration with choral performances, and the Balch Springs Middle School LCC will conduct the flag presentation.

Eleven classrooms, more than 10,000 sq. ft., were added to the school, which is located at 337 Pleasant Vista Dr.
