Seagoville Middle School Celebrates Classroom Addition With Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony
March 7 Event will Showcase $9.5 million in Bond Improvements
DALLAS—Seagoville city officials and Dallas Independent School District leaders will join the staff, community, and students of Seagoville Middle School for a ribbon-cutting ceremony to show off the school’s new, two-story, 25-classroom addition. The ceremony is scheduled at 4 p.m., Friday, March 7, in the cafetorium of the school located at 950 Woody Rd.
Speakers will include Dallas ISD District 4 Trustee Nancy Bingham, Chief of School Leadership Sylvia Reyna, and Seagoville City Councilmember Terri Ashmore. Principal Tracie Washington will serve as emcee, the school’s leadership cadet corp will help open the event, and student cheerleaders and dancers will perform.
The $9.5 million in improvements funded by the school district’s 2008 Bond Program include an addition of 25 new classrooms and an enclosed courtyard. The project’s construction team included project manager, Jacobs, general contractor, Ratcliff Constructors, and architect, HKS, Inc.
